The Hemet Heritage Foundation will show the 1910 silent movie version of "Ramona" at its meeting Monday night.

The 17 - minute movie, starring Mary Pickford, will start at 7 .m. at Diamond Valley Middle School, located at 291 W. Chambers St.

A representative of the Ramona Outdoor Play will also be on hand to answer questions abou the upcoming play, which opens on April 16.

The movie and play are based on an 1884 novel of the same name by Helen Hunt Jackson, a writer who became deeply interested in the plight of American Indians.
